About Mitchell Motivation
Laurel Mitchell
Laurel (Lauri) Mitchell has played a
key role in the training and development industry since
1983, holding executive positions with Autodynamics,
Wittstock Enterprises, and Aquascape Designs, Inc.
She is currently president of Mitchell Motivation, a
consulting and training company which designs, develops, and
facilitates workshops in the human resource, communication
and employment law arenas.
Ms. Mitchell was an Area Manager for
IWCC (Industrial Writing and Communications)
Training in Writing where she sold and conducted
corporate business writing workshops.
Lauri has extensive experience
representing in-dealership consulting projects for several
import and domestic automotive manufacturers. Ms. Mitchell
was a business partner with the University of Toyota and
Lexus College for over 15 years and delivered automotive
programs in management, customer service and team
development to nationwide audiences. Her work with the J.D.
Power organization has included evaluating and certifying
managers, dealerships, and sales personnel.
Lauri
has been recognized at annual conferences for her sales
leadership within the Inscape Publishing organization.
She also is a recent Ruby Award recipient.
Ms. Mitchell holds a degree in
education from Ohio State University with majors in English
and Communications. She has worked in the educational field
in various career capacities. She is a strategic partner
with Inscape Publishing and a distributor of their DiSC
training products.
Lauri is a certified member of the
Women’s Business Development Center in Chicago . Mitchell
Motivation is a member of the Women’s Business Enterprise
National Council.
Randall Mitchell
Randall (Randy) Mitchell , is a partner
in the downtown Chicago law firm of Adducci, Dorf, Lehner,
Mitchell and Blankenship, P.C. and a Principal in
Mitchell Motivation, Inc. Randy concentrates his
practice in employment and labor law matters and commercial
litigation.
Randy has handled employment cases for
plaintiffs and defendants involving claims of discrimination
based on race, sex, age, national origin, disability and
sexual harassment, successfully trying several of them to
jury verdict. He regularly counsels clients in those areas
and has spoken on employment law topics before bar
association and other professional groups. His litigation
background – seeing what can happen in a courtroom when
things have gone wrong in the workplace – has provided him
with a unique perspective that is very useful for proactive
employers looking to avoid employment problems.
Randy is licensed to practice before
the United States Supreme Court; the Illinois Supreme Court,
the U. S. Court of Appeal for the Seventh Circuit, and
several other federal appellate and district courts. He is a
graduate of the University of Michigan and received his law
degree from the University of Illinois College of Law. He
is an active member of Chicago Lincoln American Inn of Court
and the American Bar Association’s Section of Labor and
Employment Law.
